everything in the universe has a design to it, wherther you believe it was god that designed it, or by nature. so the question really applies to you too, considering that everything is designed (and according to you all designs have a purpose) without referencing to a higher being, what is our purpose or the purpose of the universe...?

Religion is a big catalyst for murder. If we stop giving religion respect, that would help to undermine public respect for religion. And thus would help to decrease the level of political and social benefits that organized religion receives.

oh okay your right i didnt answer that one, well he wants worship one because he is God almighty, but we were not created soley for worship, he wanted to create us and he wants to have a relationship with us, he doesnt want us to simply give him his dues and then be on his way, there is a reason the bible refers to him as abba, he is like a father, a father wants respect but he doesnt just want respece he wants to have a relationship with his child he wants his child to love him and to want to spend time with him and respect just comes naturally from there. Christianity isnt a set of legalistic rules, Christians follow Gods commandments because we love Him, because we love Him, we want him to be pleased with us like a child and a father.
