More of L. Ron Hubbard's view of democracy: "A totally democratic organization has a bad name in Dianetics and Scientology despite all this talk of agreement. I has been found by actual experiment (LA 1950) that groups of people called on to select a leader from among them by nomination and vote routinely select only those who would kill them. They select the talkers of big deeds and ignore the doers. They seem to select unerringly the men of average skill. That is never good enough in a leader and the people suffer from his lack of understanding. If you ever have occasion to elect a leader for your group, don't be "democratic" about it."
HCO PL 2 Nov 1970, "The Theory of Scientology Organizations" |

L. Ron Hubbard on democracy:
"Therefore a democracy is a collective-think of reactive banks. Popular opinion is bank opinion. "Any human group is likely to elect only those who kill them. That's concluded from actual 1950 experiments." HCO PL 13 Feb 1965, "Politics" |

To royalblooming,
The term "fair game" was canceled, but the vengeful and harmful policies that the term alluded to continue to be practiced. "This P/L does not cancel any policy on the treatment or handling of an SP." Read the article in Maisonneuve about what the CoS did to Gerry Armstrong. (Scientology's Holy War. Reporter: Bruce Livesey. June 23, 2008). Do you endorse the use of these tactics? Is this appropriate behavior for a supposedly religious organization? |
Fair game was cancelled as your quote below states - cause it caused bad PR.
this is cause scientologists did take it out of context, and also public did too. LRH didnt mean it the way it was stated. Also - if Fair game was never in existence, ever - lets say LRH never wrote that policy - the church would still be doing what it is doing - cause it is entitled to defend itself from slander and libel. |
the way you have placed the KSW quote on your page - is making it seem, LRH dismisses the group.
Which is wrong. The group is part of a scientologists 3rd dynamic. If it is Democracy you are referring too. LRH also has a quote on that - "Democracy is the best form of government on this planet today" He didnt 100% agree with democracy, you're right. But I dont either. Sometimes there are a lot of negatives in a democracy. Democracies are never 100% perfect. But he states specifically that a democracy is the best form of government in existence...which means he does SUPPORT IT. |
To royalblooming, you claim the KSW quote is out of context (even though the meaning is clear) yet xemutv (a proud Scientologist) says the quote is "spot on" and shows Hubbard was a "genius".
Hubbard made his attitude to democracy very clear, and I suspect you know this. |
"Fair Game" was canceled in name only - the CoS still actively attacks anyone it considers to be an enemy.
"FAIR GAME may not appear on any Ethics Order. It causes bad public relations. This P/L does not cancel any policy on the treatment or handling of an SP." (HCOPL 21 Oct 68) It doesn't matter what you call it, a Mafia-style revenge policy is wrong. |
Also - fair game as a policy does not exist - another lie you might want to remove from your page.
Your quote on your page by LRH is from Keeping Scientology Working 1. KSW 1.
It is taken out of context, in which LRH talks about tech in that particular context. LRH also has a quote "A group has power, if its ethics are in, it has power, and can build whole civilisations" - LRH Tech Bulletin, 1967 Also, David Mayo also declared that there is no such thing as past life clears, and did a whole bunch of people in - including my own mother-in-law. He then left the church and set up his own group called the AAC - which was all stolen material from the church - this is why he is a squirrel. |
