'Why do you sometimes recommend writing an argument at the end of an essay instead of the beginning?'

In my videos, I try to make it clear that there are multiple styles of essay writing. I focus on 2 - argument and discussion. In an argument essay, the writer's position must be stated at the beginning in the form of a thesis (this is the form most probably introduced to you by teachers and textbooks). In a discussion essay, the idea is to 'discuss' an idea before taking a position, so therefore your position is given with your conclusion.
