I am an atheist in that I hold no belief in a god. If you don't like that definition, that's okay, it's my definition.

I like to write, draw and paint. The writing usually takes the form of short funny (I hope)bits, mostly word play. The drawing is usually cartoons, with occasionally serious stuff. Painting is in watercolor.

I DO NOT TRADE SUBSCRIPTIONS. IF YOU ARE SUBBING TO ME SO THAT I WILL SUB BACK YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED. A SUBSCRIPTION THAT HAS TO BE PAID FOR ISN'T WORTH HAVING. I have stopped accepting friend requests generally, because I just don't have time for all the videos being sent to me already. I hope any of you who have sent me requests and received the curt YT message "friend request rejected" will forgive me. I don't like that word "rejected," but I really can't PM everyone and explain that it's nothing personal. When you make videos I may subscribe to you, but I just don't wish to receive any more unsolicited videos.

Profession : Retired at last! Formerly I was a data analyst (read glorified computer jockey) for a now defunct aerospace company.
Loisirs et centres d'intérêt : Guess you could call the internet a hobby. Most of my online time is spent on YouTube, with occasional visits to Stickam and LiveVideo.
Films et spectacles : Don't do movies much anymore. All time favorite movie, The Quiet Man
Musique : Mostly classical, but I also like jazz, including Dixieland.
Mes livres préférés : Lately in fiction: Douglas Adams' "The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy," Michael Connelly's "The Last Coyote." Recent non-fiction:John Grisham's The Innocent Man Everybody who still believes in the death penalty should read this book. Re-reading Bertrand Russell's "Why I Am Not A Christian."

Schaivo was diagnosed repeatedly over 15 years. The long distance diagnosis from the Senate doesn't count. That her parents found someone to agree with them also doesn't change anything. Again their reasons were emotional, not medical.
	Re: Physician Assisted Suicide part 1 (il y a 1 heure) Point taken. I'm used to people throwing God in my face. My mistake. "Don't you believe people are connected as a universal race? " I'm coming to think so. The idea of race that divides peoples from each other has long outlived its usefulness, if it ever had any. But what has that to do with an individual's right to choose death? It seems to me the more humane position regarding someone who is suffering is to support their choice to stop suffering, not just drug them into a stupor.

But you came on with the attitude that your profession made you specially qualified to offer an opinion on what, after all, is a philosophical question. You said, "what are your credentials that you think that you have a right to talk about 'peoples right to die.'" Right? I have to be qualified in your eyes before I have a "right" to offer a philosophical opinion? This is the hubris of yours that pissed me off. We disagree. That's all
	Re: Physician Assisted Suicide part 1 (il y a 1 heure) Her doctors did that and determined that she was in a PVS. If they didn't believe that they would never have pulled the plug. You are talking here about the "diagnosis" of her parents, who were not qualified to know what they were seeing. I understand that they were emotionally involved, but that's why doctors make diagnoses and not parents.
	Why don't atheists just shut up? (il y a 6 heures) Amazing! Did you think of that brilliant response all by yourself, or did you have writers?
