But if I wasn't heading to Nevada, I'd be posting something awesome instead of this piece of shit. Patience is a virtue. An Israel-related video is in the stars, as well as a Nader-related video.
If you're hungry for more Ryce (see what I did there?) you can always head over to my blog. I've got some phenomenal guest bloggers filling in for me, but I'll try and write as much as I can during these 2 1/2 weeks. Petitioning is harder than it looks.

By the way, isn't Dennis Kucinich a fucking pimp for introducing articles of impeachment against Bush? I'm honored to have worked for that man during his presidential run, and am now honored to be working with Nader. The honor is overwhelming it is.

Being the former New York bureau chief of The Washington Times and a contributor for Fox News, you might expect Liz Trotta to champion some pretty horrendous acts, but flippantly calling for the assassination of a presidential candidate is certainly a new trend which seems to be gaining in popularity.
You can also see Trotta pause and stutter to correct herself from saying "Osama", but decides to go with it, purposefully linking the Democratic presidential hopeful with the most wanted terrorist in the world. The fact that a supposed news organization would not only assassinate the character of any politician they disagree with ideologically, but actually call for his literal assassination is reprehensible.
I would say this is a "new low" for Fox, but endorsing the continuation of genocide in Iraq and the nuclear annihilation of Iran are clearly far worse crimes which occur on a far more frequent basis. When a political organization rationalizes that it's acceptable to endorse the assassination of political leaders abroad like President Hugo Chavez or even Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, it's not that big of an ethical jump to then endorse the assassination of political leaders at home.
Liz Trotta's own words from that day are perhaps best applied to herself than Hillary Clinton:
"Whether she meant it or not, she's tone deaf because it's a radioactive word, and the whole question of the first black man becoming a candidate for the presidency of the United States has all kinds of overtones and all kinds of caveats that really have to be considered in this thing... Surely this woman had to know that that was the third rail to say 'assassination', and it's hard to argue for her in this."
You've gotta love the hypocrisy. Sign this petition to request that Fox News fire Liz Trotta. http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/fox-news-has-to-sack-liz-tr otta

On April 24th, both the US House and Senate introduced versions of Orphan Works legislation. The House Bill is particularly threatening to the livelihood of visual artists and endorsed by private businesses which stand to gain at our expense. This problem is not confined to the US, however, as an Orphan Works bill is also in the works under the civil branch of the European Union.

The instrumental in this video was generously provided by Depakote http://www.myspace.com/Depakote Go support him. He's good people.
The time-lapsed images in this video (in which a double-sided Statue of Liberty is incarnated as both a conquistador and US soldier over a map of the world) were taken during the creation of a piece called "Lust" from a series called "On the Eave of Obstruction: The Seven Deadly Sins of the O.C.". Yeah, it's a mouthful (that's what she said) but it isn't as pretentious as it sounds. Though the series as a whole is near completion, this particular work is currently unfinished. I plan on making a video to show each piece in the series in the near future.

Just as MLK had to be whitewashed into an image which does not threaten the rule of American tyranny, so too has the true message of Christianity been altered to justify the illegitimate rule of immoral institutions. As has been evident with the recent persecution of Reverend Jeremiah Wright by Democrats and Republicans alike, the United States feels threatened by the liberation theology of Christianity, just as the Roman Empire did during the time of Jesus Christ.

There must be something clutching the foot of Icarus; retracting him back towards his tow
There must be something clutching the foot of Icarus; retracting him back towards his towering fate. It's that concrete umbrella veiling the eyes of outcasts. That daily confessional with condemnatory bars cast across convicted boogiemen.
And so, my cousin has been seven years late for Christmas dinner. His lead tears were never unloaded upon handkerchief shoulders or those with soft paper smiles. Kid Icarus merely found pastimes between his father's labored distractions and clouded affairs. And just as pots under grandmother's leaky roof knock with tin beats, so too did his pockets overflow with words nearly muffled. Now with weighted hands, the only visitors are centipedes and mice.
At the shout of each morning alarm he shivers polaroid feathers, still undeveloped. A sun-beamed window prepares delusions that fall outside his view. It's that mid-day heat for whom summer beauties exist in skin, Or that moistened front yard morning where clouds drift through the palms of tree tops, and children whirl in garden hose warfare. Spring resist the wrapping of these frozen walls and county blues.
Reality displays the framework of his arms, now occupied with walkman-inked engravings: telegrammed portraits waiting to embrace the dawn. But away from this coop he'll find that freedom is often too wide to hold.
With blind eyes he climbs towards a distant sun, who's just as lonely as he is. So I pray for the proper blessing over those who attempt to soar with stone sculpted wings, hoping that when heaven falls it lands upon outstretched palms.

On January 23rd, Gazans flooded into Egypt on the sixth day of the illegal Israeli blockad
On January 23rd, Gazans flooded into Egypt on the sixth day of the illegal Israeli blockade through holes blown by at least 15 explosions along the border wall separating occupied Gaza and Egypt.
Unguided Qassam rockets fired by Palestinian militants, in response to Israel's illegal occupation of Palestine, have only killed around a dozen people since 2001, yet the Zionist regime states that these homemade rockets are enough of a threat to declare the entire occupied territory of Gaza a "hostile entity". Israel has cut off vital water supplies, fuel, and electricity to Palestinian civilians. This constitutes collective punishment, which is in direct violation of the Geneva Conventions.
By declaring Gaza a "hostile entity", Israel intends to create the same loophole that the Bush administration created by declaring detainees "illegal enemy combatants". Under this new definition, the Jewish state can argue that international law no longer applies to any of the 1.5 million inhabitants there. This is Gitmo on a much larger scale (sans the food, healthcare, and desire to keep you alive). Gaza has been fully transformed from a giant prison into a concentration camp, where the mistreatment, starvation, and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians are the expressed directives of the Jewish state.
It should also be noted that the so-called "peace talks" between Olmert, Bush, and Abbas have excluded the democratically elected Hamas government. These talks have only renewed the ties between Israel and its puppet Fatah government. The occupied territories were taken by war, which means they must be returned under international law. The point of these "peace talks" is only to sidestep international consensus by pressuring the weaker side to release Israel of more and more of its obligations under international law. Israeli apologists will often talk of how "generous" Israel has been during such talks, but only in relation to the few unreasonable demands it's willing to give up, and not in relation to what it is actually entitled to under international law.
The Palestinians are powerless, and rely on us for their survival. We're the ones with the power to force Israel to adhere to international law. Any blockade, no matter how relaxed Israel claims, is far too inhumane to impose on a people already living under occupation, apartheid, and systematic ethnic cleaning. This is true terrorism, and our government makes it possible. Americans can not in good conscience support any politician who supports Israel without condition.
