When I talked to Lejo himself via the messages, he didn't seem to have much of a problem with it. From what I could tell, NPS (the company that produces Sesamstraat, the Dutch version of Sesame Street) were more worked up about it. Considering Lejo had sold the distribution rights of these videos to NPS, I suppose he was under a lot of pressure from them.

Even so, if I hadn't removed them myself, NPS might've filed a complaint with YouTube and forcibly removed them from my account (or even worse, removed my entire user account as well). I preferred the friendliest route. After all, he did ask politely. That goes a long way in my book.

I would, perhaps, never have known this great hand puppet artist, if you would not have introduced him to us here on youtube! Sorry, that he did not tsee this as a kind of good PR you did for him... But it may be the right time, now, to forward your own ideas which you are keeping in mind. I am sure, you will make it... Have a great day!!! Greetings from Germany

I'm happy to see an extended version of my favorite Lejo short. The accordion episode I always found to be the absolute cutest of them all (next to Children's Choir).

An update (for those of you who read this little section of my channel): I recently got ahold of about 40 short films from the Dutch puppet artist Lejo, so I might get around to post more of these.

No, I didn't make the Lejo videos myself, but I do dabble a little in puppetry, which makes the Lejo videos somewhat of a "role model" for what I'm about to make myself. :-)
