the trinity is a doctrine of man, and unfortunately for you trinitarians the lie that is causing christendom to crumble is taking its toll is losing steam. More and more christian faiths are being forced to admit its a false teaching in order to keep the flock attending. Soon yours will too, so what will you do then? Congregation members are protected by the Scriptural provision for disfellowshipping those who sin unrepentantly or who promote apostate thinking. (1 Cor. 5:9-13; Titus 3:10, 11) Can we expect to find these same loving arrangements when associating with others via the Internet?

Have you shown yourself discouraged in the day of distress? Your power will be scanty.—Prov. 24:10.
Help is available, and when you are facing a trial, you should never hesitate to seek it. Discouragement can undermine a Christian's integrity. To counteract this danger, Jehovah provides us with support through our fellow servants of God. An angel appeared to Jesus and strengthened him on the night he was arrested. (Luke 22:43) While journeying toward Rome as a prisoner, Paul "thanked God and took courage" when he met the brothers at the Marketplace of Appius and Three Taverns. (Acts 28:15) A German Witness still remembers the help she received upon her arrival at Ravensbrück concentration camp as an apprehensive teenager. "A fellow Christian found me right away and gave me a hearty welcome," she recalls. "Another faithful sister took me under her wing, and she became like a spiritual mother to me." |

Do not be anxious over anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving let your petitions be made known to God.—Phil. 4:6.
The apostle Paul thus urged Christians in his day. The Bible contains many examples of those who took their concerns to God. Among such ones are Hannah, Elijah, Hezekiah, and Daniel. (1 Sam. 2:1-10; 1 Ki. 18:36, 37; 2 Ki. 19:15-19; Dan. 9:3-21) We should follow their example. Note, too, that Paul's words show that our prayers can take various forms. He mentioned thanksgiving, that is, prayer in which we express appreciation for what God does for us. This may be accompanied by praise. Supplication refers to humble, earnest entreaty. And we can express petitions, or requests for something specific. (Luke 11:2, 3) Our heavenly Father is happy to accept our approach to him in any of these ways. Let us make good use of this wonderful provision |

Obadiah himself had proved to be one greatly fearing Jehovah.—1 Ki. 18:3.
God-fearing Obadiah lived in the days of the prophet Elijah and of King Ahab, who ruled over the northern kingdom of Israel. Ahab's wife, Jezebel, a ruthless enemy of Jehovah, tried to eradicate true worship from the land. She murdered some of Jehovah's prophets and even tried to kill Elijah. Immediately after Jezebel murdered Jehovah's prophets, "Obadiah proceeded to take a hundred prophets and keep them hid by fifties in a cave, and he supplied them bread and water." (1 Ki. 18:4) As you can imagine, secretly feeding a hundred men was a very dangerous undertaking. Still, godly fear gave him the courage to rise above any fear of man he might have had. Obadiah is a fine example for all of us, especially for those who worship Jehovah at the risk of their freedom or even their life.—Matt. 24:9 |

When the Son of man arrives, will he really find the faith on the earth?—Luke 18:8.
Jesus did not answer the foregoing question. He raised it so that his disciples would think about the quality of their own faith. Was it gradually weakening, so that they were in danger of returning to the things they had left behind? Or did they have the sort of faith exemplified by the widow in Jesus' illustration of the unrighteous judge? (Luke 18:2-5) We should likewise ask ourselves, 'What kind of faith does "the Son of man" find in my heart?' God's servants today can be confident that they will receive the justice of Jehovah—even if it takes more time than they had expected. Further, they show their confidence in God's promises by persistent prayers—yes, by 'crying out to Jehovah day and night.' (Luke 18:7) Indeed, if a Christian were to stop praying for justice to be done, he would show that he had lost confidence that Jehovah is going to act in behalf of his servants |
