The oud (i.e., "wooden stick", in pure translation) is one of the most passionate, warm and soulful among stringed instruments.
Historically, it has been proven that the oud is actually the "father" of several modern string instruments (including the guitar !!).
If you listen carefully, the sound of an oud feels like that of an "ancient call" from the deep past. Oud music can simply blend in total harmony with some modern music too.
Playing any musical instrument is not just about technique or piling some notes, but rather a way of expressing emotions....and a spiritual state through that instrument !
Keep in mind, silence in music.... is music !
