Here you'll find old trailers that featured on Australian / New Zealand home video from the 1980s and 1990s (mainly Roadshow & Palace films). There are numerous idents, and other snippets taken from old VHS tapes. Scenes from films are sometimes added. I don't upload whole films though.

Some of the trailers on this channel (particularly the adult films) have to be censored before addition, in compliance with You Tube's terms of use.

*** Friend requests from non-subscribers are rejected ***

*** I don't sub 4 sub, unless I like your channel ***

*** PLEASE DO NOT STEAL AND RE-UPLOAD ANY OF MY TRAILERS ***.
I will lodge complaints to You Tube if you do this. Favourite them, don't steal them.

Some trailers on this channel get flagged, [ie. "This video may not be suitable for minors"]. When this happens, they do not show up when you click the 'videos' or 'most viewed videos' option. Instead, you can watch them here -------------------->>>>>>>>

This channel is a fan site dedicated to many old Australian released VHS home videos, mainly from the 1980s and 1990s. The vast majority of these home videos were also released in New Zealand. The channel has no official affiliation with Village Roadshow, Palace Entertainment, or its subsidiaries.

Australian home videos frequently contained rare content (trailers, idents, logos, promos, etc etc), some of which was unique and exclusive to Australia. This material often does not even appear on the most definitive of DVD re-releases. Thus, certain material in my ever increasing collection is added here for its potential historical interest, particularly for those outside of Australia, because some of this stuff may now be long lost.

You will also notice some DVD trailers here. They are almost always better quality, and are added if a VHS version is either unavailable, or too poor quality to add.

Yup, Tuesday the 14th. Since its mandatory Down Under, that makes sense. Still doing it on the weekend would be a nice reward to those committed voters. But the election station is nearby, so heh? Oh yes I am leftie, liberal and all that, just to confirm. :) Well the Liberal leader Dion [the Liberal party is sort of leftish, but more in the middle, their bearable, the real left wing party is the New Democrats], has made some serious gains after a t.v. appearence he came off well in. And Harper's plan to "save" the country from the Depression, has struck many as similar to Bush's bailout plan. In short, not well. So, Harper winning is no longer a sure thing. If it happens, it happens. But we'll see.

Now don't hold back, tell me what you really think! Ha! I'll need an e-mail to cover all you said, but that's good you already heard about the borrowed speech. I just heard a few days ago, so it was news to me. Perhaps Bush's team crafted it, they are a devious bunch to put it mildly! Harper announced the bill is dead! And they may have cost him crucial support from certain people, the Christain right mainly who wanted Harper to put this through. And its less than a week till the election, so he may actually lose. It ain't over till its over! :)

Oh and get this: a new video of a speech Harper did a few years ago surfaced. Its about how Canada should support Bush in Iraq. His speech is apparently EXACTLY the same speech former PM John Howard [hope I got the name right], gave. I heard there's a YT video that plays them side by side to confirm this. Harper's people admitted they stole the speech because they were "rushed". When it comes to right wing boneheads, I think you're right, our countries are very much alike! Have a good one! :)

It looks like Stephen Harper may be re-elected here but it will just be another minority govt. My father is convinced he'll quit because he's such a sore loser. But here's a cool twist: his party was unhappy with the govt. funding "Young People Fucking", guess why. So he proposed a new bill meaning only films the feds approved of would received funding, anything "unacceptable" out. When he announced this in a speech, he caused an uproar in Quebec where the Alliance party had made serious gains. As I guess everyone knows, that province has a VERY strong independent streak as regards to culture.
So the idea of Ottawa telling them what they could make, did not go down well. If he stays as PM, he'll be on a leash, so that's something.
So hurray to YPF in real life and on the screen! :)

At least American horror film fans for one aren't thrilled at the MPAA. In fact as far as I can recall, they've been really one of the only film going demographics to desire serious change. At least now we can Unrated cuts of films on video./As far as horror prequels go, I've only seen "Amityville 2: The Possession", not too good, but amusingly over the top at times. I too hope they try to emulate John Carpenter's style and not go all CGI; Rob Bottin's practical FX is still impressive and hasn't dated one bit for me. All they need do is get actors to resemble the 2 in the chopper and the corpse with the slashed wrist and that should seal continutity. The director is Marc Abraham, who did a new film, "Flash of Genius" coming out soon. Don't know him. Hope he's good. :)

re: MPAA, yes now that kids can download unrated versions of films off the internet, forcing directors to edit for an "R" is quite pointless. In the last couple of years they have shown some leeway, "Grindhouse" I think trimmed only a few seconds, Kevin Smith just won the appeal with his new comedy I mentioned awhile ago. Its a big establishment and of course they don't wish to be put out of work, so they have to maintain that sense of importance. Its part of the character of the nation too, that many share, that its got the best democracy, best governement, the most "freedom", and is the best generally. So why change it? Too many of them believe their own propaganda, sadly.

You've put your vids to VERY good use! Thank you! Some potentially good news on a new take on John Carpenter's "The Thing". There was talk it would be a remake but apparently it will be a prequel, which must mean it dramatizes what happened at the Norweigan base where the alien first thawed. Last I heard the screenwriter was Ronald D. Moore who brillantly developed the new "Battlestar Galactica" t.v. series. This might work very well, so here' s hoping! :0

Thank you for the nice comments! I had a few hundred old 80s and 90s vids lying around, so thought I'd put them to some good use :)

Amazing channel. I was thinking id have a look on utube to see if I could find some of these old trailers that I always used to watch on VHS as a kid, especially the roadshow ones, hoping id find a few, and instead I find a whole dedicated channel with 600 of them. The content of utube continues to blow my mind. Well done.
