McCain's nomination of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is the worst, lowest ,most troublesome, insulting, embarrassing, damaging, wrongheaded, detrimental thing that anybody in this campaign for U.S. President has done to the Democratic Party. Isn't it enough that John McCain has always shown himself to be a courageous, idealistic, patriotic person not afraid to buck the system? So now he chooses this glamor girl who turns out to be one of the most if not the most popular Governor of any state? Speak of political "dirty tricks," this takes the cake. I know about Scientology. Created by a pulp fiction writer to make himself rich (L.Ron Hubbard) it uses the power of suggestion along with fun type games to convince people that they are being helped via their therapies. For getting radiation out of their bodies they take saunas and vitamines (for a small fortune). They undergo a version of psychoanalysis which they call "auditing" again for a lot of cash. They are taught a scientology language such as "Don't squirrel the tech" which means do not misuse scientology methods. They make its members feel like a special group, detached and superior to others. Members tend to lose relationships with non scientologists. The organization claims that by "improving" people's abilities they can become rich. More likely, if they start out rich they will become poor after years of their therapies.-Larry Shaw.
