Thanks for the check up Xoronite and rationallity is simply too much fun to give up. I've actually having a morbidly entertaining conversation with a fundamentalist and the possibility of the historical Jesus. You seem to be refusing to accept that ERV's are retroviruses despite the fact that we can show that they are the same way we can show that you are a human being. By looking at your genome.

If you disagree that ERVs are from retroviruses then present that argument, rather than just ignoring it and carrying on. Because we cannot carry on if you just ignore it.

The RNA's are either functional or rogue." we know it is not rogue RNA that causes ERVs. and even if it was it would not account for all the other primates having them at the same insertion sites.

Interestingly, studies have shown that treating normal chicken cells with ionizing radiation and carcinogen activated release of virus. This suggests something to me eg. malignancy and infectiousness may arise from outside stimulus according to tropism . For me, this is an enlightening debate where u support your points and I don't necessarily agree with them.
