I read a comment you posted for a Mary J. Blige song and I just gotta take advantage of this opportunity to ask you a few questions.

I'm a amateur beat maker who's trying to hone my craft in hopes of becoming a successful music producer sometime in the future. Due to lack of funds, I don't have the type of equipments which most major producers use (MPC, workstations, pro tools). All I got is a cheap Yamaha keyboard and I'm thinking on getting Reason or Fruity Loops real soon.

From a professional music producers point of view, can you give me some advice on what kind of affordable set up I can get for myself and what other kinds of musical training I should get? Also, what are some projects that you're working on right now?
