Like Marvin Gaye said over 35 years ago "What's Going On?" -those words should be asked today. What is going on? Every generation has a tendency to believe that something big will happen during their time and we are witnessing that right now. The world is changing very quickly and as this planet gets crowded we find ourselves fighting and killing each-other over territory, ideology, "religious" beliefs, money, lust, greed, hatred, ignorance, miscommunication and misunderstanding.

Did you know that there are more stars in the known universe than there are grains of sand on every beach on the planet? We must understand that we are part of something much bigger than this one tiny planet. If there is other life out there I hope we make contact within this lifetime and if there isn't then even more reason to respect the uniqueness of what has come into being right here on planet earth. From the planet to the animals and people that live on it, a higher level of respect and understanding is an absolute necessity or else we will certainly lose what has taken so long to build -what might be one of the greatest achievements in the known universe.

Don't let false information, hysteria and propaganda dissuade you from seeking out the truth. The internet offers people from all over the world the chance to communicate directly with each other -this is an amazing tool that can be used to break down the barriers and lies that have arisen between us. Let's not allow ourselves to be lead like sheep by our corrupt governments and by the powers that be. We are being taken hostage by weapons manufacturers and oil companies with too much power and persuasion that seek only to maximize their profits at any cost. That cost is us and our planet.

What you can do to break down the lies is easy. Reach out today and get to know someone from a place or culture you don't know much about or perhaps you think you know about but in fact you don't. Palestinians can talk directly to Israelis, we don't need to wait for our governments to make all the decisions for us. They are old and lazy and lack the will or even the ability to break the stalemate that some wish to prolong for as long as possible. We are the generation that matters, we are the heros and the leaders. Seize the day.
