Yay!), Edgar Allen Poe, John Steinbeck, Katherine Anne Porter, Eudora Welty, Edith Wharton, Herman Melville (great short stories). French Lit: Colette, Maupassant, Baudelaire, Jules Verne. Non - Fiction: Arundhati Roy (Algebra of Infinite Justice), Armed Madhouse by Greg Palast, John Pilger (Heroes my favorite), Howard Zinn, Roy Porter and any great histories and biographies. Italian: Castiglione (The Book of the Courtier), Boccaccio (The Decameron, Petrarch (sonnets). Other: Books about rock music, Gary Larson's Far Side strip, crime/sci-fi pulp fiction.
