Just a little about me, I'm a really down-to-earth type of guy, I tend to be easily amused - similar maybe to a two year old child with a set of keys, and a binkie...

While I do enjoy the occasionally laugh, I do thoroughly enjoy discussing current events affecting both my country (USA) and the world as a whole...

I feel YouTube offers us all the wonderful opportunity to connect with people unlike any other manner available. We should use this tool to further our understanding of people of different cultures and societies, and well - to learn...

I believe in the FUNDAMENTAL idea that we are all humans - first. America is a great country, and I love my country very much...but we are NOT perfect, we have many flaws - and we must strive to change them.

	Tons of OIL WASTED... (cont) energy production (like transpo, etc); then fine double that number of even triple it to say 6%...BOB IS STILL WRONG, as still more than 90% of electrical production in the United States comes from non-oil sources!! Or to put it to you another way - if you go with 2% that means that oil lit that stadium for 1 out of the entire game or if you triple that, then oil was responsible for the electricity for 1 inning of a 15 inning game. 	(cont) as simplest detail as I can (not trying to be condescending here but I think we have gotten off course.) Bob was upset about the flagrant misuse of oil for the all star game: specifically referring to the lights that were on for 15 innings. Now those lights are powered by electricity, and the VAST - VAST majority of electricity (98%) comes from non-oil sources. Say you dont believe the govt reports or maybe these reports didnt factor in secondary aspects of (cont) (il y a 3 jours)

	Carl, I cant say that I have seen the trains you refer to...but anecdotal evidence is never a good thing anyways. What is good evidence however is the Department of Energy's (DOE's) or US Energy Information Administration (just google it)...annual energy data. In this data you will find electricity production by energy source and ultimately you will quickly see how WRONG Bob is (and you if you agree with his overall message). Basically Coal is responsible for 49% of our electricity, (cont) (il y a 4 jours)
