Panic Disorder - Stories of Hope / Documentary Video; National Institutes of Health; National Institute of Mental Health; Panic Disorder: Stories of Hope AVA19710VNB1 - 1994; This 19-minute video documentary panic disorder, a serious yet often misunderstood mental illness, is useful for presentations at public and professional seminars and meetings. Introduced by TV personality Willard Scott, who himself has recovered from panic disorder. Producer: National Institutes of Health; Panic Disorder. What is Panic Disorder?; Panic disorder is an anxiety disorder and is characterized by unexpected and repeated episodes of intense fear accompanied by physical symptoms that may include chest pain, heart palpitations, shortness of breath, dizziness, or abdominal distress. Signs & Symptoms: People with panic disorder have feelings of terror that strike suddenly and repeatedly with no warning. During a panic attack, most likely your heart will pound and you may feel sweaty, weak, faint, or dizzy. Your hands may tingle or feel numb, and you might feel flushed or chilled. You may have nausea, chest pain or smothering sensations, a sense of unreality, or fear of impending doom or loss of control. More about Signs & Symptoms: Treatment: Effective treatments for panic disorder are available, and research is yielding new, improved therapies that can help most people with panic disorder and other anxiety disorders lead productive, fulfilling lives. Panic Disorder is a serious condition that around one out of every 75 people might experience. It usually appears during the teens or early adulthood, and while the exact causes are unclear, there does seem to be a connection with major life transitions that are potentially stressful: graduating from college, getting married, having a first child, and so on. There is also some evidence for a genetic predisposition; if a family member has suffered from panic disorder, you have an increased risk of suffering from it yourself, especially during a time in your life that is particularly stressful. Please remember that only a licensed therapist can diagnose a panic disorder. There are certain signs you may already be aware of, though. One study found that people sometimes see 10 or more doctors before being properly diagnosed, and that only one out of four people with the disorder receive the treatment they need. That's why it's important to know what the symptoms are, and to make sure you get the right help. Many people experience occasional panic attacks, and if you have had one or two such attacks, there probably isn't any reason to worry. The key symptom of panic disorder is the persistent fear of having future panic attacks. If you suffer from repeated (four or more) panic attacks, and especially if you have had a panic attack and are in continued fear of having another, these are signs that you should consider finding a mental health professional who specializes in panic or anxiety disorders. Body: There may be a genetic predisposition to anxiety disorders; some sufferers report that a family member has or had a panic disorder or some other emotional disorder such as depression. Studies with twins have confirmed the possibility of 'genetic inheritance' of the disorder. Panic Disorder could also be due to a biological malfunction, although a specific biological marker has yet to be identified. All ethnic groups are vulnerable to panic disorder. For unknown reasons, women are twice as likely to get the disorder as men. Mind: Stressful life events can trigger panic disorders. One association that has been noted is that of a recent loss or separation. Some researchers liken the 'life stressor' to a thermostat; that is, when stresses lower your resistance, the underlying physical predisposition kicks in and triggers an attack. Both: Physical and psychological causes of panic disorder work together. Although initially attacks may come out of the blue, eventually the sufferer may actually help bring them on by responding to physical symptoms of an attack. For example, if a person with panic disorder experiences a racing heartbeat caused by drinking coffee, exercising, or taking a certain medication, they might interpret this as a symptom of an attack and , because of their anxiety, actually bring on the attack. On the other hand, coffee, exercise, and certain medications sometimes do, in fact, cause panic attacks. One of the most frustrating things for the panic sufferer is never knowing how to isolate the different triggers of an attack. That's why the right therapy for panic disorder focuses on all aspects -- physical, psychological, and physiological -- of the disorder. Creative Commons license: Public Domain

Margaret Sanger On The Topic Of Infidelity / Television Interview Video. A Fair Use segmen
Margaret Sanger On The Topic Of Infidelity / Television Interview Video. A Fair Use segment of a 1957 interview between Planned Parenthood's Margaret Sanger and Mike Wallace is presented. The transcript of the complete interview, as well as the original video, is available at the Harry Ransom Center of the University of Texas.
WALLACE: But sin in the ordinary sense that we regard it -- do you believe or do you not believe.
SANGER: What-what would they be?
WALLACE: Do you believe infidelity -- is a sin?
SANGER: Well, I'm not going to specify what I think is a sin. I stated what I think is the worst sin.
WALLACE: Yes, but then you asked me to say what--and I said what and ah--you refuse to answer me?
SANGER: I don't know about infidelity, that has many personalities to it--and what a person's own belief is--you can't, I couldn't generalize on any of those things as being sins.
Margaret Sanger believed that a woman's physical satisfaction was more important than any marriage vow. Birth Control in America, p. 11. After a failed trial marriage at 18, she married William Sanger in 1902 and soon engaged in extramarital affairs while encouraging her husband to do the same. After divorcing William Sanger, Margaret married J. Noah Slee, president of the Three-in-One Oil Company and a millionaire. Before the wedding ceremony she had Slee sign a prenuptial agreement. It stipulated that Margaret would be free to come and go as she pleased with no questions asked. She was to have her own apartment and servants within her husband's home, where she could entertain 'friends' of her own choosing, behind closed doors. Furthermore, Slee would have to telephone her from the other end of the house even to ask for a dinner date. Margaret told her lovers that with that document, the marriage would make little or no difference in her life—apart from the convenience of the money, of course. And she went out of her way to prove it; she flaunted her promiscuity and infidelity every chance she could get. Margaret Sanger was not content to keep her lascivious and concupiscent behavior to herself. She was a zealous evangelist for free love. Even in her old age, she persisted in proselytizing her sixteen-year old granddaughter, telling her that kissing, petting, and even intercourse was fine as long as she was sincere.

Documentary On The Life Of Adolf Hitler - Part Two / Video. Documentary that includes interviews with Hitler's sister Paula Wolf and a fellow prisoner who was incarcerated with Hitler, actual footage shot by the Nazi's and Eva Braun's rare home movies. We see some home uncommon home videos from Hitler's private life. It's an interesting part of the movie. The home movies show Hitler and his wife's life. It's worth a look for those wanting a different take in a Hitler biography. The documentary, narrated by Westbrook Van Voorhis, ended up in the public domain. The documentary includes some rare homemade videos shot by Eva Braun, and interviews with his sister Paula Wolf, his driver, and other people that surrounded him. Fresh out of convent school Eva Braun met Adolf Hitler the first time when she was working as the assistant of Hitler's personal photographer Hoffmann. A few weeks after this meeting she agreed to follow the Führer to his mountain retreat in the alps. Their attraction was immediate, and over the objection of her parents, she became his mistress. For the next sixteen years, she lived in luxury as millions suffered and died at the hands of her 'Wulf'. In 1936 she finally moved to Hitler's Berghof at Berchtesgaden where she acted as his hostess. Reserved, indifferent to politics and keeping her distance from most of the Führer's intimates, Eva Braun led a completely isolated life in the Führer's Alpine retreat and later in Berlin. They rarely appeared in public together and few Germans even knew of her existence. Even the Führer's closest associates were not certain of the exact nature of their relationship, since Hitler preferred to avoid suggestions of intimacy and was never wholly relaxed in her company. In his Memoirs Inside The Third Reich Albert Speer tells about her relationship with Hitler: "Eva Braun was allowed to be present during visits from old party associates. She was banished as soon as other dignitaries of the Reich, such as cabinet ministers, appeared at the table .. Hitler obviously regarded her as socially acceptable only within strict limits. Sometimes I kept her company in her exile, a room next to Hitler's bedroom. She was so intimidated that she did not dare leave the house for a walk .. Out of sympathy for her predicament I soon began to feel a liking for this unhappy woman, who was so deeply attached to Hitler." Gitta Sereny tells in her book Albert Speer: His Battle With Truth how Speer had been discomfited by Hitler's conduct toward Eva Braun. One night at the Berghof he heard Hitler say, as the young woman sat next to him at the table, that a highly intelligent man should always choose a primitive and stupid woman: "Imagine if on top of everything else I had a woman who interfered with my work! In my leisure time I want to have peace .. I could never marry. Think of the problems if I had children! In the end they would try to make my son my successor." A secret, private film collection shows candid views of Eva Braun and Hitler in war and peacetime, chatting with children, conferring with subordinates, relaxing after victories and recovering after Stalingrad. At the same time over one million children under the age of sixteen died in the Holocaust - plucked from their homes and stripped of their childhoods, they lived and died during the dark years of the Nazi genocide. How Does Planned Parenthood Celebrate Black History Month? The following statement appears
How Does Planned Parenthood Celebrate Black History Month? The following statement appears on Planned Parenthood's website: "In observance of Black History Month, Planned Parenthood is celebrating the leadership of African Americans who led the fight for reproductive freedom." This is all very touching -- that Planned Parenthood would take time from their busy schedule of killing black babies in their Abortion Clinics -- to proclaim their appreciation for the African-American community. The Planned Parenthood website goes on to recognize the achievements of that famous advocate of nonviolence -- the Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. as if Dr. King somehow posthumously approves the violent killings of the more than 1500 babies that will be destroyed in a black woman's womb every day, a significant portion of which, are performed in Planned Parenthood's abortion clinics. The Planned Parenthood website also states that, "Planned Parenthood is committed to providing the highest level of care to people of all cultures and backgrounds." This is indeed very generous of Planned Parenthood to lend a helping hand to one of Margaret Sanger's favorite ethnic groups, as exemplified by Margaret Sanger's famous "Negro Project". Undoubtedly, during Margaret Sanger's well documented trip to talk to the Ku Klux Klan, she must have assuredly spoken in very generous terms of African Americans. However, the Planned Parenthood website that addresses Black History Month, mysteriously fails to mention all of the tax dollars that they receive from hard working African-Americans --- tax dollars which are used to help kill the more than 1500 unborn African-American babies every day. We are sure that this must have been a slight oversight on their part. There are some that claim that Planned Parenthood is a racist organization; however, we will not say that -- for to do so -- would be a terrible insult -- to racists throughout the world. Although black women constitute only 6% of the population, they comprise 36% of the abortion industry's clientele. The leading abortion providers have chosen to exploit blacks by locating 94% of their abortuaries in urban neighborhoods with high black populations. This high rate of abortion has decimated the black family and destroyed black neighborhoods to the detriment of society at large. Between 1882 and 1968, 3,446 Blacks were lynched in the U.S. That number is surpassed in less than 3 days by abortion. 1,452 African-American children are killed each day by the heinous act of abortion. 3 out of 5 pregnant African-American women will abort their child. Since 1973 there has been over 13 million Black children killed and their precious mothers victimized by the U.S. abortion industry. In his Letter from a Birmingham Jail, Martin Luther King said, "The early church brought an end to such things as INFANTICIDE." What would Martin Luther King say to the church today? The Rev. Jesse Jackson once said: "That is why the Constitution called us three-fifths human and then whites further dehumanized us by calling us 'niggers'. It was part of the dehumanizing process. The first step was to distort the image of us as human beings in order to justify that which they wanted to do and not even feel like they had done anything wrong. Those advocates of taking life prior to birth do not call it killing or murder, they call it abortion. They further never talk about aborting a baby because that would imply something human. Rather they talk about aborting the fetus. Fetus sounds less than human and therefore abortion can be justified". Jackson's massive flip-flop on the abortion issue is further proof that his political future is far more important to him than are his principles. With 1/3 of all abortions performed on Black women, the abortion industry has received over 4,000,000,000 (yes, billion) dollars from the Black community. All text and images from Fair Use. The Pre-Born Baby Never Stops Being A Human Being Video PSA. It can not be acceptable to have an abortion in any situation, because no matter what the situation or hardship is, the baby never stops being a human being. You can't say, "It's wrong there but we accept it here under these circumstances", because the baby doesn't stop being human based on the situation of the mother. Even though life is hard sometimes -- and for the mother it might be difficult to keep the baby, it is important that we never use the killing of other people as a solution. All images and text from Fair Use. Music from the Music Bakery. In April 1996, and again in 1997 President Bill Clinton vetoed bills which would have banned partial-birth abortion. But new scientific evidence continues to emerge supporting the realization that the unborn children killed by this procedure likely experience a degree of pain too awful to imagine. Our understanding of the development of the fetal nervous system and fetal pain perception has only crystallized over the past decade. It is now clear that the network which conveys pain in humans (the spino-thalamic system) is fully established and connected by 20 weeks. What has become even more apparent is that premature newborn babies, many born at the same gestational age as late-term aborted babies, likely feel even more pain than babies delivered at full term. Elements of the pain system first appear much earlier, beginning with pain receptors under the skin of the face at eight weeks and early connections within the pain pathways of the spinal cord at seven weeks. The spinal cord is the "highway" that carries pain information from the limbs and trunk upward to the brain. By 20 weeks, the human fetal brain contains the full complement of one billion neurons in the gray matter, waiting to receive ascending pain impulses. The final connections between pain fibers and the gray matter neurons are completed in the period between 20 to 24 weeks. This is how we as adults "feel" pain; there is no reason to believe this is any different for humans inside the womb. Observations of human fetal response to painful stimulation support this. A 1994 study published in England by Professor Nicholas Fisk showed that two types of hormones released during pain and stress rose to high levels when blood was drawn (for necessary testing) from the living fetus by puncturing the abdomen. As a "control" experiment, blood was drawn from the painless umbilical vein source in other cases; these unborn babies did not release the pain and stress hormones. These observations were made in fetuses as early as 19 weeks of age. An earlier study by Dr. Joachim Partch of Kiel, Germany, detected similar hormones from the amniotic fluid as early as 16 weeks into the pregnancy. Emerging research data from a number of studies now suggest that the late second-trimester fetus is capable, in fact, of experiencing more pain than babies born at term. At a conference on fetal and neo-natal pain held in Toronto in early April 1996, Dr. K.J.S. Anand, assistant professor of pediatric anesthesia at Emory University in Atlanta and one of the world's foremost authorities on fetal pain, reviewed a number of recent observations. The mechanisms by which the second-trimester fetus perceives pain are well established before mechanisms designed to blunt pain, which do not begin to develop meaningfully before 28 weeks. These disturbing revelations raise issues which should ripple well beyond a basic science discussion, beyond even the established battle lines of the abortion debate itself. The question arises, how can we allow this?

MonthlyCallForLife.com has been set up for one purpose, to challenge the culture of death. Abortion, embryonic stem cell research, gender selection and other modern scientific practices kill innocent human beings, and unless we speak out to stop them, so-called "scientists and doctors" will play God with our lives. This site is for is those of you who have decided that enough is enough. You know abortion is murder, it is wrong and you are ready to do something about it! We can end abortion. Enough talk. There are thousands of proLife entities out there and we need to band together and speak with one voice. Talking about how horrible abortion is and not doing anything to stop it is the same as saying that you will quit (smoking/eating/drinking/insert yours here) tomorrow. How are we going to stop abortion? We are going to speak together as one voice every month on the first Friday. We will email, call and write our representatives. As our numbers grow, we will get so LOUD with our demand to end abortion. They will beg us to stop. Our answer will be...
WE WILL STOP WHEN YOU STOP KILLING INNOCENT HUMAN BEINGS!
This great country was built on the premise of freedoms, ones such as Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. It's time to defend these freedoms. Someone said to me the other day that abortion is a topic that should be avoided. I asked what it should be substituted with and he replied 'the weather, or sports or something like that". If you want to have a meaningless life and have meaningless conversations go ahead. Otherwise, talk about what is important, even if those who are pro-abortion find it uncomfortable. Get involved. Silence supports what you disagree with because it enables people to continue killing innocent children. Turning away and trying to avoid difficult conversation and action is the same as giving permission for abortion to continue. So speak up and speak out, with your friends, with your neighbors and at your parties. The pro-abortion party has made the topic of abortion into an uncomfortable one. They don't wish to talk about it because they say it is not appropriate conversation. If saving millions of people isn't appropriate conversation I can't imagine what would be. Besides, like I said, they made speaking of abortion an uncomfortable topic, but speaking about life and the wonders of birth, babies and growing up can be a beautiful conversation! We can only have this conversation if we let our children be born and grow up.

Preventing Heart Disease and Heart Attack Educational Video. U.S. Department of Health and Human Services National Institutes of Health; National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute; Act in Time to Heart Attack Signs; Item #56-042N, September 2001; The dramatic, moving stories of three heart attack survivors and their families illustrate the importance of heeding heart attack warning signs and seeking medical care quickly. They vividly convey how a real heart attack may differ from the stereotypical "movie heart attack" and how getting immediate treatment can save lives. The warm and sympathetic narration by an emergency department physician explains what a heart attack is, the treatments that can save lives if given quickly, why many heart attack victims delay seeking care, and how to make a heart attack survival plan. Useful for health fairs, medical waiting rooms, community groups, and home viewing. Producer: National Institutes of Health; Keywords: hhs.gov; public_safety; Creative Commons license: Public Domain. Heart Attack Warning Signs. A heart attack is a frightening event, and you probably don't want to think about it. But, if you learn the signs of a heart attack and what steps to take, you can save a life--maybe your own. What are the signs of a heart attack? Many people think a heart attack is sudden and intense, like a "movie" heart attack, where a person clutches his or her chest and falls over. The truth is that many heart attacks start slowly, as a mild pain or discomfort. If you feel such a symptom, you may not be sure what's wrong. Your symptoms may even come and go. Even those who have had a heart attack may not recognize their symptoms, because the next attack can have entirely different ones. Women may not think they're at risk of having a heart attack--but they are. Learn more about women and heart attack. It's vital that everyone learn the warning signs of a heart attack. These are: Chest discomfort. Most heart attacks involve discomfort in the center of the chest that lasts for more than a few minutes, or goes away and comes back. The discomfort can feel like uncomfortable pressure, squeezing, fullness, or pain. Discomfort in other areas of the upper body. Can include pain or discomfort in one or both arms, the back, neck, jaw, or stomach. Shortness of breath. Often comes along with chest discomfort. But it also can occur before chest discomfort. Other symptoms. May include breaking out in a cold sweat, nausea, or light-headedness. Learn the signs--but also remember: Even if you're not sure it's a heart attack, you should still have it checked out. Fast action can save lives-maybe your own. After you learn more about heart attack, try a brief quiz to see if you know what to do if you or someone else has warning signs. How do you survive a heart attack? Fast action is your best weapon against a heart attack. Why? Because clot-busting drugs and other artery-opening treatments can stop a heart attack in its tracks. They can prevent or limit damage to the heart--but they need to be given immediately after symptoms begin. The sooner they are started, the more good they will do--and the greater the chances are for survival and a full recovery. To be most effective, they need to be given ideally within 1 hour of the start of heart attack symptoms. You can reduce your risk of having a heart attack—even if you already have coronary heart disease (CHD) or have had a previous heart attack. The key is to take steps to prevent or control your heart disease risk factors. Six Key Steps To Reduce Heart Attack Risk; Taking these steps will reduce your risk of having a heart attack: Stop smoking; Lower high blood pressure; Reduce high blood cholesterol; Aim for a healthy weight; Be physically active each day. Manage diabetes.
