I pretty much agree with everything you said. In many instances, people's explaination for Pyramid Head is that he's just a monster manifested by his desire to be punished and sexual frustration. What this theory doesn't explain is his relation to Valtiel; both govern lfe and death, both havea striking resemblance to each other, they both stalk he player throughout the game, and, coincidentally, they both happen to rape other people/monsters.
